Screens Are Funny Things
In New England, almost everyone opens their windows in the spring and the fall to bring in breezes and to air out the home. Kitchen windows are opened to allow cooking smells and excess heat to escape and they tend to become covered in grease over time. Bathroom windows are opened to vent steam, and as they are, hair care products that are sprayed stick to the screen, then lint and other flying particles land on the sticky screen, causing it to become very gunked up. Odds are, this is probably all happening to yours too!
It's important that if you are going to have your screens on your home, year round, they need to be cleaned on a regular basis to help keep your windows clean, and also to prolong their inevitable disintegration. This entails removing dead bugs, bird droppings, and general dust and road grime from them.
If you happen to have a home that has missing screens or has never had screens at all, we can help you with that too. We will come to your home, assess the type of window frame you have, take measurements, then build custom screens and even install them for you!
