Screens Are Funny Things

In New England, almost everyone opens their windows in the spring and the fall to bring in breezes and to air out the home.

Kitchen windows are opened to allow cooking smells and excess heat to escape and they tend to become covered in grease over time. Bathroom windows are opened to vent steam, and as they are, hair care products that are sprayed stick to the screen, then lint and other flying particles land on the sticky screen, causing it to become very gunked up.

Odds are, this is probably all happening to yours too!
‍
It’s important that if you are going to have your screens on your home, year round, they need to be cleaned on a regular basis to help keep your windows clean, and also to prolong their inevitable disintegration. This entails removing dead bugs, bird droppings, and general dust and road grime from them.

Screen repair as needed keeps your screens in good condition.
‍
If you happen to have a home that has missing screens or has never had screens at all, we can help you with that too. We will come to your home, assess the type of window frame you have, take measurements, then build custom screens and even install them for you!

Verified Top-notch and professional service from Above & Beyond. They've performed gutter cleaning for us for the past few years. But, recently had window cleaning and gutter brightening for treatment of mold & mildew - outstanding results. Scott was pleasant and efficient and truly went above & beyond once again!

Verified Above & Beyond is Certainly that!! My experience with them was exceptional. The windows are so clean I will not put all of my screens back on (Scott's suggestion) -- the view is too beautiful to spoil. And speaking of suggestions, Scott was super helpful in all kinds of ways, giving me ideas for what to improve or keep the same. You wouldn't believe how much improvement can be made with windows-- but Scott does and he helped me figure it out. Scott works so hard to give you the best job ever -- with so many personal touches -- like cleaning the sills, asking about what I want done with basement windows. He swapped a window location where it made sense. I highly recommend them.

Verified You can't find this kind of personal service anymore! Scott did a wonderful job cleaning all my windows inside and out plus the screens and windowsills. He even cleaned 7 year old construction debris off my windows. He is a real professional who knows his business. I immediately signed him up for my daughter's home. I will definitely hire him again. Kathy U.

Verified Shocking! Shocking how good our windows look! Better than new. Shocking at how wonderful Scott was! He was amazing! On time, personable, informative and diligent. He worked hard all day to clean our gutters, our windows, screens and skylights. I've hired others in the past who refused to clean the sills, no problem with Scott, our sills are white again! I highly recommend Above and Beyond Window Cleaning, the name is accurate. We will be hiring Scott again and again!

Verified We had an outstanding experience. Called in the am, had an immediate quote followed by a visit and was scheduled for 7am the next day! Scott was terrific - high quality, efficient, professional and fun. (Showed up in a bow tie!) Our windows literally look as though there is no glass! I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Verified Scott did a terrific job. We have an old house with lots of different windows, combination storms, and screens on three floors and he cleaned them all beautifully. And what a difference it made. This past weekend, in fact, my visiting family commented on how impressed they were with the better view of our yard! He was careful to wear covers on his shoes and keep his distance (or wear a mask when needed), so no worries about messes or viruses. He is a true professional who clearly takes pride in his work and is knowledgeable about window operation and repair as well as cleaning. (My husband was particularly impressed with his special screen cleaning contraption!) We highly recommend Scott and Above & Beyond Window Cleaning.

Above and Beyond went above and beyond when I hired Scott for window cleaning. He was professional, fair and dependable. My windows have never looked better! He checked and cleaned the screens too. He went beyond when I asked if he could clean a chandelier. He did a fantastic job with everything.

I would definitely recommend and use Scott again!

Screens bugging you?

It is likely that you know of more than one bad screen around your home or office that needs screen repair.

Having torn or bent screens can lead to a variety of problems, from bugs getting into your home to having trouble opening and closing your windows. Over time, the sun bakes your screens and can make them quite brittle, delicate or discolored. This condition makes them hard to remove or clean without causing more damage.

If you are having your window cleaned it may be the best time to address the problems with your screens. We would be happy to replace your screens or to repair them as necessary. We can repair a screen if your frame is good and your mesh is bad or visa-verse. We repair screens of all sizes. Even the corners or springs.

If you have a few screens that have been bugging you for a while, give us a call.

Private Screening

Do you need custom screens put in for privacy or for sun protection? Perhaps you need the screen mesh on your doors replaced? We offer screen repair and replacement for a variety of screen types. If your screens are not doing the job give us a call. Let us know what type of screen you have or have in mind.
